Entertainment Rights has called off sale talks that have been ongoing for a number of months. ER made the announcement under UK Stock Exchange rules. Chairman Rod Bransgrove says, "The board of ER believes that the company has significant underlying value and remains in a strong position with regard to generating returns from its extensive portfolio of brands and content. The appointment of Nick Phillips as chief executive in March provides the company with the leadership to drive its growth going forward. We look forward to updating shareholders further in this regard in due course." Parties rumored believed to have been involved in discussions included Chorion and HIT Entertainment.
