Endemol's Bassetti Steps Down

Bassetti joined Endemol in 1997 with the acquisition of Aran, an Italian production company, in which he was a founder. In 2007, Bassetti was appointed chief operating officer, and in 2009 he was named president of Endemol Group. Since 2011, Bassetti has been working alongside Just Spee, chief financial officer as joint interim CEO.

“We’d like to pay tribute to Marco, who joined the Group in 1997 and has made a significant contribution from both a leadership and creative perspective,” says Sir Charles Allen, commenting on behalf of the Endemol Board. “He has held various roles including Chief Operating Officer, Group President and most recently interim CEO alongside Just Spee and on behalf of the Board we would like to thank him for the role he has played in the company’s success."
