Endemol U.K. has promoted two more executives on the heels of the announcement that former chief executive officer of the U.K. business, Tim Hincks, would become president of Endemol Group and chairman of Endemol U.K.
Chief operating officer Lucas Church will take over Hincks’ former role as chief executive officer of Endemol U.K., and chief financial officer Richard Johnston will take Church’s place as chief operating officer. These two new appointments round out Endemol U.K.’s new senior management team.
Church has served as chief operating officer of Endemol U.K. since 2008. He has 20 years of experience in the television industry and has held a range of senior positions at Endemol U.K. over the years including head of legal and business affairs and joint managing director. As chief executive officer he will lead the U.K. group, which includes Initial, Remarkable Television, Zeppotron, Darlow Smithson Productions, Tiger Aspect and Tigress. Church will work closely with Hincks in overseeing the creative and strategic direction of the U.K. business.
Richard Johnston has been chief financial officer of Endemol U.K. since 2008. He began his career in television in 1996, and his previous roles at the company have included head of business development and finance director. As chief operating officer he will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the company.
“Lucas and Richard live and breathe Endemol U.K. and love the business every bit as much as I do,” says Hincks. “Together we will ensure that the company remains the most creative and diverse producer in the U.K.”
