The trailer for the upcoming Judge Dredd film, Dredd, has racked up more than 1 million views in its first week on YouTube.
Liongate’s new adaptation of the comic book character is set to hit theaters in the U.S. Sept. 21. Judge Dredd first made an appearance in the British sci-fi anthology 2000 A.D. in 1977, and has since been the subject of a 1995 film, as well as numerous games, video games and novels.
In addition to his return to the big screen, comic book publisher IDW has announced a new monthly Judge Dredd comic for North America.
