Me and My Shadow, an upcoming movie from DreamWorks Animation, is slated to hit theaters in March 2013. The studio will combine CG and hand-drawn animation techniques on the 3-D film.

The movie follows the adventures of Shadow Stan, a frustrated shadow who is seeking a more dynamic life and happens to be stuck with Stanley Cubb, the world's most boring human.

Many have come on board for the film, including Mark Dindal (Chicken Little, The Emperor's New Groove) as director, Melissa Cobb (Kung Fu Panda) and Teresa Cheng (Shrek Forever After) as producers, Shane Prigmore (Coraline) as head of story, Scott Willis (Monsters vs. Aliens) and Raymond Zibach (Kung Fu Panda) as production designers, Nick Fletcher (Shrek Forever After) as editor. The screenplay was written by Steve Bencich and Ron Friedman (Chicken Little, Open Season).

"We are proud to have assembled a world-class creative team of filmmakers and artists—all of whom have vast experience on both computer generated and traditionally animated films—who is already well along in the production of Me and My Shadow," says Bill Damaschke, co-president of production for DreamWorks Animation. "Together, we are embarking on an exciting goal to break new creative ground at DreamWorks Animation by combining the time-honored tradition of hand-drawn animation with the magical sophistication of CG characters and worlds in ways that have never been experienced by audiences before."
