DreamWorks Animation has signed the Megamind writing team to pen a feature film devoted to the penguin characters from the Madagascar movies, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The characters were also spun off in the CGI-animated TV series “The Penguins of Madagascar” on Nickelodeon.
