DQ Entertainment has signed equity and distribution co-production deals for "The Jungle Book" and "The New Adventures of Peter Pan" with PT Metropolitan Televisindo (B-Channel) in Indonesia.

B-Channel has been granted the rights for free TV, free video on-demand, IPTV and home distribution in Indonesia.

"Our strategy of producing and distributing iconic content has received further validation and financial backing through B-Channel's commitment to both 'The Jungle Book' and 'Peter Pan,'" says Tapaas Chakravarti, chief executive officer and chairman of DQE. "The Indonesian market is one of the fastest-growing consumers of animated content and merchandising in the Southeast Asian region and B-Channel's reach is unparalleled."

Both "The Jungle Book" and "The New Adventures of Peter Pan" are new 3-D television series. "The Jungle Book" recently debuted on Oct. 24 on France's TF1. The series' other co-production partners include TF1 and Moonscoop in France and ZDF Group in Germany.
