Nickelodeon Consumer Products has partnered with Fisher-Price and Discovery Bay Games for new Dora the Explorer products, including the Fantastic Gymnastics Dora doll, new apps and an iPad accessory.

Fisher-Price has announced the new interactive Fantastic Gymnastics Dora doll.

Children can coach and cheer on Dora as she performs splits, handstands and back-bends in two gymnastics routines.

The Dora doll will be released this August in conjunction with a free augmented reality app that brings Fantastic Gymnastics Dora to life.

"We know that young girls will be following gymnastics closely this summer, sparking excitement; who better to share that adventure with them, than Dora?" says Manuel Torres, senior vice president, global toys, Nickelodeon Consumer Products. "Fantastic Gymnastics Dora from Fisher-Price captures the adventurous spirit of Dora and is sure to motivate active children with her moves and words of encouragement."

To introduce the new doll Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin hit the mats in Plano, Texas to support young gymnasts through routines inspired by Fantastic Gymnastics Dora.

"I've always been a true believer in setting goals and dreaming big," says Liukin. "Building self-confidence at an early age is so important and a doll like Fantastic Gymnastics Dora is designed to inspire kids and show them that there are endless possibilities to what they can achieve.”

Dora will also be heading to the iPad this summer with the new Dora the Explorer Let's Play Backpack Duo iPad accessory from Discovery Bay Games.

The Let’s Play Backpack Duo accessory works with in conjuction with an app of the same name. Players place tokens on the corresponding spot of the Dora backpack accessory to match their answer in the game.

The Let's Play Backpack accessory is now available exclusively on Amazon, and will be at select retailers this fall. The “Dora Let's Play Backpack Duo” app is available for free from the Apple iOS App Store.
