Some of children's favorite characters are making themselves right at home. Imperial Home Décor Group recently nabbed the licenses of Warner Bros.' Scooby-Doo, and Disney's Winnie the Pooh characters for its Instant Stencils home accent collection. The stencils can be applied to hard surfaces (such as painted walls, stained wood, glass, and furniture) to create borders, wall accents, and other customized looks. The liner sheets on each stencil contain an adhesive that makes a permanent, washable bond after 48 hours. Instant Stencils are now available at home centers, paint and wallpaper retailers, and specialty stores nationwide (suggested retails, $10.99 to $18.99). Creativity for Kids, a division of Faber Castell, recently began shipping to retail the first Madeline arts and crafts kits (licensed by DIC Entertainment) with home decorating options for girls ages 4 and up. Items include a Bonne Nuit "Good Night Light" table light kit that allows children to color or use preprinted lamp shades that create a glowing Madeline lamp when inserted into the accompanying lamp base (suggested retail, $20), and Tres Jolie Verre: Stained Glass Window Stickers kits (suggested retail, $14).
