Disney Consumer Products has lined up a raft of consumer products to support the release of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film, which hits U.S. theaters May 20.

Some highlights from the new Pirates of the Caribbean product lines include:

  • OPI will produce six limited edition nail lacquers to support the release. The Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides collection includes colors such as Skull & Glossbones (gray), Mermaid's Tears (green), Planks a Lot (purple) and Silver Shatter (silver). The collection will hit stores in May.

  • Hayden-Harnett will produce a Pirates of the Caribbean accessories collection for Walt Disney Signature, Disney’s first upscale adult lifestyle brand. The collection features silk and chiffon scarves, leather cuffs and leather handbags that retail from $78 to $498. The collection will launch May 1.

  • Flair will produce a line of new toys including four-inch figures, accessories and the Queen Anne’s Revenge play set with a black light that turns the figures into ghastly zombies. Flair will also introduce new strategy-based board games based on the film this fall.

  • The LEGO Group will make nine play sets celebrating key scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, including a buildable version of Queen Anne’s Revenge and the Whitecap Bay play set where Jack Sparrow and the other pirates encounter mermaids.

  • Disney Interactive Studios and TT Games have collaborated to develop LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game. The video game will release in May on the Wii console, Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and PlayStation Portable.

“Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean has something for people all ages, from action-packed films for the whole family to enjoy, to toys and games which bring the characters and scenes from the big screen into the home for kids playtime,” says Andrea Tartaglia, vice president of franchise marketing for Europe at The Walt Disney Company. “With Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, fans, kids and collectors are in for a treat.”
