Walt Disney Studios and the National Academy of Engineering have partnered to open an interactive

Tron: Legacy

exhibit at the USA Science & Engineering Festival in Washington, D.C.

The exhibit will be open Oct. 23 and 24 at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and will feature the following:

  • Props from the film, including the SHIVA laser and replica of Sam Flynn's Lightcycle

    • Video clips of the film

      • Live demonstration of motion-capture technology, which was used as part of the film's special effects

        • 3-D light painting exhibit for kids and families

          • Presentation by Lanny Smoot, an imagineer from Walt Disney's imagineering research and development group

            hits theaters on Dec. 17 in the U.S. and Canada.
