Disney XD has acquired the 3D, animated series “The Jungle Book,” according to DQ Entertainment, producer of the series.

The characters of Rudyard Kipling come to life in this TV series, targeted to children ages 6 to 9. “The Jungle Book” is set to begin airing in the U.S. on June 11.

SMC Entertainment, a division of Sun-Mate, has the television, home video, licensing and merchandising rights in North America for “The Jungle Book.”
