Meg Lowe was appointed to senior vice president of domestic distribution at Discovery Communications, where she will lead all sales and marketing efforts for the company's domestic team.
Lowe will be responsible for Discovery's portfolio of 13 networks with all U.S. distribution partners, as well as all activities and carriage negotiations for the company's suite of HD channels, Hispanic networks and joint network initiatives, including The Hub with Hasbro and a 3-D network with Sony and IMAX. She joins from MTV Networks, where she most recently served as senior vice president of content distribution and marketing.
"Meg is a remarkably talented executive, bringing to Discovery a stellar track record and outstanding reputation in the affiliate marketplace," says Bill Goodwyn, president of global distribution and chief executive officer of Discovery Education for Discovery Communications, to whom Lowe will report.
