Discovery Launches TLC Baby

Discovery Communications and Spuds announced a partnership to develop a line of feeding products for TLC Baby, a brand dedicated to new and expecting parents. The product line will hit retail outlets this spring.

The new line represents the first product launch under the new TLC Baby franchise, and will feature plates, bowls, dishes, utensils, sippy cups, bottles, pacifiers, teethers and various storage containers. 

Created from reclaimed potato starch, Spuds quality and creative feeding products are completely free of toxins and help provide a safe and healthy environment for children during key developmental stages.

“We are very impressed with Spuds’ ingenuity and believe they are an ideal foundation partner for the TLC Baby brand,” says Elizabeth Bakacs, vice president of licensing for TLC. “We’ve found that parents want quality products they can trust to be safe for their children, so we’re eager to introduce the first TLC Baby products next year with a company that is truly leading the way in natural alternatives in infant and toddler feeding products.”

The deal was brokered on behalf of TLC Baby by their licensing agent, Big Tent Entertainment.
