Discovery Kids Names Textile Partner

Discovery Communications signed home textiles company Franco and health and beauty manufacturer Cosrich Group to produce Discovery Kids branded products. Product will be available in the U.S. and Canada for the holiday shopping season.The deal was brokere

The deal was brokered on behalf of Discovery Communications by Big Tent Entertainment, the North American licensing agent for the Discovery Kids brand.

Franco will produce bedroom and bath accessories, including rugs, draperies, blankets, bath and beach towels, throw blankets and vinyl placemats; while Cosrich will create an array of children’s bath activity sets, including soap, body wash, bubble bath, shampoo, bath crayons, sponges, stone paper sheets, fizzing bath rocks, and foam pieces for kids, using eco-friendly materials and packaging.

“We are very pleased to have Franco and Cosrich on board as new partners for the Discovery Kids brand,” says Rich Maryyanek, chief marketing officer at Big Tent Entertainment. “Discovery Kids is a brand families trust and we felt it was very important when expanding our licensing program to find home textile and bath partners that could create products true to the brand.”
