Mike Rowe, host of the Discovery Channel series “Dirty Jobs,” has announced the launch of the Dirty Jobs Complete laundry booster with a new website and spoof press release.

Dirty Jobs Complete is the newest item in a range of cleaning products licensed under the Dirty Jobs brand in a partnership between Discovery Communications and My Dirty Jobs. Other products in the line include stain removers, carpet cleaners and hand sanitizers.

To advertise the new laundry booster, now available at Walmart and Lowe’s, Rowe has launched the site TryDirtyJobs.com, which features a coupon program that will benefit the mikeroweWORKS Foundation.

“In spite of its name, the mikeroweWORKS Foundation does not benefit Mike Rowe–it benefits men and women who wish to pursue a career in the skilled trades. We subsidize apprenticeships and other forms of skills training,” says Rowe in his spoof release. “In exchange for my shameless plugs, the makers of Dirty Jobs Complete have agreed to contribute a dollar of every $3 coupon redeemed to the mikeroweWORKS Foundation–a generous donation that will go far to help rescue polite society from the siren song of soft living and instant gratification.”
