New licensees include Vogue for a range of melamine products including tableware, drinkware, clocks and room decor. Zap is on board to create a Rastamouse bedding range, and MVSports will develop a range of outdoor toys including skateboards, scooters and skates. Sommerbond will be the partner for underwear and nightwear with plans for a soft launch in spring/summer 2012, and a full roll out in autumn/winter 2012. Their Nibs has signed on as the partner for children’s sleepwear, to be sold through Their Nibs store as well as Selfridges and John Lewis.

These new deals complement DHX Media’s existing roster of licensing partners for Rastamouse which include EMI (music), Universal (DVD), Character Options (master toy), and MacMillan (publishing).

Stella Projects has been appointed as the Australian and New Zealand licensing agent for the property.

Stella will be appointing local licensees to compliment EMI, which has music rights for the region, and ABC Commercial, which will develop and launch the Rastamouse DVD in Australia.
