Disney Consumer Products has announced new leadership for Disney Publishing Worldwide and its retail arm, Disney Store.

Andrew Sugerman has been named executive vice president of Disney Publishing; Molly Adams has been named executive vice president of global product development for Disney Store; and Paul Gainer has been named executive vice president of global Disney Store. Both Adams and Gainer will replace Jim Fielding, who recently stepped down as president of Disney Store.

In his new role Sugerman will oversee all of Disney Publishing's businesses, including its core global book and magazine publishing business, as well as its growing digital and learning initiatives.

Since joining Disney Publishing in 2007, Sugerman has built Disney English into a thriving learning business, with more than 30 language-learning centers across nine cities in China.

As executive vice president of global product development for Disney Store, Adams will continue to drive the quality, creativity and performance of the product assortment. In addition, she will lead a cross-regional initiative to determine the most effective structure for global product development. Adams previously served as senior vice president of Disney Store retail locations in North America.

Gainer will lead the North America business for Disney Store, including e-commerce and the 210 retail locations in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. Previously, Gainer served as senior vice president of Disney Store North America.

"We are proud to have these seasoned executives in key leadership roles at Disney Publishing and Disney Store," says Bob Chapek, president, Disney Consumer Products. "Disney Publishing is an industry innovator, and Andrew has the right skills and leadership experience to continue growing the business through the development of incredible content that can be read and experienced by families around the world across many platforms. Disney Store launched the entertainment retail concept 25 years ago, and I am confident that Paul and Molly will continue to provide our guests with an exceptional retail experience by delivering compelling products and outstanding guest service."
