Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity has signed The Creative Rights Agency to develop a licensing program in the U.K. based on J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan and its associated illustration archive.

Creative Rights plans to position the property as an upscale nursery brand. Initial licensing categories will be gift and chinaware, christening sets, bedding and stationery. Product to launch in the summer of 2013.

"It is an honor to represent Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity in this initiative," says Richard Scrivener, managing director of Creative Rights. "Peter Pan is one of the world’s greatest literary creations. His character and David Wyatt’s artwork evoke a sense of: adventure, imagination and nostalgia, which will offer a great deal to licensees. It is also a perfect fit with current retail trends.”
