Norwegian production company CreaCon Entertainment unveiled its flagship children’s show, “City of Friends,” in the U.K. at Brand Licensing Europe.  The CGI animated preschool series made its U.K. broadcast debut on Milkshake! on Five yesterday.

The show has already launched successfully in more than 140 territories around the world including Norway, where it is currently one of the most popular children’s shows.

To support the U.K. broadcast launch, CreaCon has appointed Parthenon Entertainment and Plus Licens to manage its U.K. and worldwide licensing distribution.

“’City of Friends’ began in 2006 as a bedtime story for my, at that time, only son and served as a great way of sharing my experiences and adventures as a policeman in Norway’s state police whilst also providing a chance for me to impart important values from a father to his son,” says Carl Christian Hamre, creator and chief executive officer at CreaCon Entertainment. “City of Friends is all about teamwork, problem-solving and helping each other out in our local communities. With our best-in-class partners - Milkshake! on Five, Parthenon Entertainment and Plus Licens - we look forward to building and growing an audience for the City of Friends in the U.K.”
