Equestrian clothing company Euro-star Reitmoden has signed on to create a line of official apparel for the Fédération Equestre Internationale (the international governing body for equestrian sports), in a deal brokered by CPLG.

The deal, a first for the FEI, will see men’s, women’s and horse apparel ranges available in more than 40 countries by spring 2013. The ranges will include breeches, jackets, baseball caps and polo shirts for men and women, as well as FEI-branded sweat blankets and saddle cloths for horses.

“Licensing partnerships provide strong opportunities to reinforce the FEI’s brand credibility and loyalty, and are a key part of the FEI’s long-term commercial strategy,” says Carsten Couchouron, executive director, commercial, FEI. “These are exciting times and we are looking forward to launching our very first FEI-branded apparel collection, which will appeal to equestrian competitors, enthusiasts, leisure riders and the general public.”

In addition to being sold through Euro-star Reitmoden’s retail network, the collections will be available on the FEI website at and at all FEI events.

Couchouron says that this is just the first in a series of merchandising agreements for the FEI that will be announced over the next year.
