Jeff Shapiro was recently named vice president of retail business development at Copyright Promotions Licensing Group, the licensing arm of Cookie Jar.

In his new role, Shapiro will be responsible for extending CPLG's brands into all levels of retail. Specific properties include Richard Scarry's Busytown, Johnny Test, Caillou, Harlem Globetrotters, Strawberry Shortcake, Lucha Libre USA and Varsity.

Shapiro most recently served as head of retail business development at Art Impressions, where he brought the Skelanimals brand to major retailers such as Toys"R"Us, Target, Borders, Kohl's and others. He's also worked as vice president of retail marketing for Twentieth Century Fox and executive director of retail promotions at Sony Pictures Consumer Products.
