ITV Global Entertainment has signed a deal with Amazon Video On-Demand in the U.S.for episodes of ITV Studio's Coronation Street—U.K. television's most successful continuing primetime drama.

U.S.-based fans of the hit "soap" will be able to purchase 50 cent episodes of Coronation Street, from the Christmas 2007 storyline up to July 2008.

Amazon Video On-Demand will premiere 20 new episodes a month, catching up with new episodes from the U.K. broadcaster by this autumn.

ITV Global Entertainment debuted on Amazon VOD in 2008, making over 450 hours of ITV Studio's programming available to U.S. consumers via a broadband Internet connection.

The site also features programming including "Cold Feet," "Inspector Morse," "Jeeves and Wooster," "The Jewel in the Crown" and "The Saint."
