Coolabi has appointed Planeta Junior and Limo Licensing to represent its preschool brand Poppy Cat in Poland and Scandinavia, respectively.

Planeta Junior, which already represents Poppy Cat in France, will extend its reach into Poland following the launch of the TV series in September 2012.

Limo Licensing will represent the property across the Nordic regions including Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland. “Poppy Cat” currently airs in the latter four countries.

“This year marks the 10th anniversary since the original Poppy Cat book launch, so we are delighted with the continued international expansion of the TV tie-in series,” says Natasha Dyson, head of licensing, Coolabi. “We are thrilled to appoint new agents in the Nordic countries and Poland, and we look forward to working with them to secure strong licensing partners in these key territories.”

The “Poppy Cat” series brings to life the children’s books by Lara Jones, first published in 2003. “Poppy Cat” currently airs in close to 100 territories, including Nick Jr in the U.K., Sprout and NBC’s kids’ block in the U.S. and on France5 in France.
