MTV Networks International has replaced Jean-Philippe Randisi with Michael Connolly, who takes the post of senior vice president of consumer products and will be based in New York.

In his new role, Connolly will oversee consumer product efforts across all international markets, retail partnerships and key category relationships including toys, home entertainment, consumer electronics, video games and publishing for Nickelodeon Consumer Products' portfolio of wide-ranging genres and hit properties in coordination with regional MTVNI operations. He will also direct business operations and the management of consumer products offices in New York, Miami, Toronto, London, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Singapore, Seoul, Spain, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

"Michael's extensive international and domestic experience in merchandise planning, licensing and retail solutions across diverse lines of business is a tremendous asset to the organization as we continue to drive the global growth of our properties and brands through innovative partnerships and deeper collaboration amongst key stakeholders," says Pierluigi Gazzolo, chief operating officer of MTVNI.

Connolly joins from Disney Consumer Products where he served as vice president, marketing and seasonal merchandise in North America. Before this, Connolly held vice president, sales and marketing roles first in the U.K., then in Europe where he delivered a 20 percent increase in sales, and is credited with spearheading a 40 percent back-to-back sales increase in the U.K., propelling the market to become Disney's No. 1 international country. Prior to Disney Consumer Products, Connolly worked at Walmart, where he held posts in merchandising, store operations, logistics, global supply chain and regional management.
