Classic Media has been appointed worldwide representative (with the exception of France and French-speaking countries) across all media for the children’s series, “The Owl & Co,” which will debut in a new format at MIPJunior Saturday.

The original series featured 52 one-minute episodes and was aired in 200 countries worldwide. Four television specials based on the series premiered last year, and the all-new 3D, CGI “The Owl & Co.” episodes (78 x 7) will make their on-air debut in 2013.

Co-produced by Paris-based independent production company, Studio Hari, and France 3, the series is targeted to children ages 6 and up.

“We are thrilled to be working with Classic Media on this key property,” says Josselin Charier, co-founder, Studio Hari. “The original short series was a huge success and Classic Media is the perfect partner to launch the new longer format of ‘The Owl & Co.’ in the international market. We are immensely proud of this partnership and we have every confidence in Classic Media to help us to build a strong and successful brand and a hit TV series.”

The series follows The Owl, whose sole desire is to sit peacefully on his branch, but in a forest filled with merciless animals, this little pink owl is faced with the daily challenge of just trying to stay in one piece.
