CreaCon Group has inked a multi-category licensing deal for preschool series “City of Friends” with toy company Torger S. Iversen in the Nordic countries.

Based in Norway, TSI will manage the Nordic rights for a comprehensive toy program with the first product range hitting retail in fall 2013.

“We are delighted to be working with TSI, a well-established and highly reputable toy company in the Nordic region,” says Linda Vabo, director of international product and licensing, CreaCon. “TSI is well positioned to grow and strengthen the ‘City of Friends’ licensing program, and we look forward to working with retailers to promote the new product range in 2013.”

CreaCon Group already has an extensive ‘City of Friends’ licensing program in place in the Nordic region, which includes scooters, puzzles, tents and plush from Swedish companies Scanditoy and MolliToys.

The company is also expanding its live shows in the region with a new format that premieres this month.

The preschool series, based on the adventures of a real-life Norwegian state police officer, was first broadcast in the Nordic countries in 2010 and now airs in more than 180 countries around the world. CreaCon recently secured a multi-year deal with Turner Broadcasting to air “City of Friends” across the Nordic region.
