The books will debut at this year's BookExpo America in New York City, and will hit shelves throughout this year and next.

Abrams will publish The Star Trek Vault in October. This book is packed with Star Trek imagery and memorabilia, sure to appeal to both the casual and die-hard fan. Next fall, Abrams will publish Star Trek TNG 365, a definitive, authorized guide to the landmark television program that aired from 1987 through 1994.

Quirk Books is putting out the Star Trek Book of Opposites in September, a great novelty gift that pairs colorful photographs of Star Trek’s classic heroes and aliens in hilarious pairs.

Beginning in January, Simon Spotlight, a children's imprint of Simon & Schuster, will publish CSI Chapter Books, a series of novels for tweens based on the popular "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" TV franchise.

“Inherent in both the Star Trek and CSI franchises is a deep wealth of information and insight that can be explored far beyond their TV or film iterations,” says Liz Kalodner, executive vice president and general manager of CBS Consumer Products. “Both properties also have avid fan bases eager to learn and enjoy these properties to the fullest. This combination lends itself to a top-notch publishing program.”
