Cake Entertainment has announced the sale of "Angelo Rules" to German broadcaster Super RTL. The 78x7 3-D-animated comedy series has already secured worldwide sales to Cartoon Network in all territories excluding the U.S., Italy, France and Japan.

Aimed at kids ages 6 to 11, "Angelo Rules" is about 12-year-old Angelo, who tries to control his life using elaborate comic strategies based on his observations of human behavior. With the help of his two friends, Lola and Sherwood, Angelo is able to sweet talk and overcome his adversaries. "Angelo Rules" is based on the French Comment Faire Enrager books written by Sylvie de Mathuisieulx and illustrated by Sebastien Diologent.

"'Angelo Rules' has all the elements Super RTL looks for in a series—high-quality, heart and humor," says Carsten Göttel, program director for Super RTL. "The main character, Angelo, perfectly represents our audience: he's courageous, clever and creative. Being faced with bossy parents, annoying siblings and mean teachers, Angelo finds innovative ideas to deal with all the relevant issues kids are facing today."
