Imangi Studios has named CafePress as the official licensee for a new line of apparel and gear based on its app “Temple Run” in a deal brokered by Dimensional Branding Group.

CafePress will launch an online Temple Run store in early October, featuring a range of Temple Run designs that can be printed on various products.

"This is a great opportunity to help create a first-of-its-kind global digital and online merchandising template for ‘Temple Run,’ a trend-setting international gaming franchise, with the best print-on-demand licensee, CafePress,” says Larry Seidman, chief executive officer, DBG. “With this partnership, we can provide ‘Temple Run’s avid players new ways to interact with the brand and the game they so enjoy."

Designs will include scenes from the game as well as popular characters and motifs including the evil demon monkeys, cursed idols, Guy Dangerous and Scarlett Fox. At launch the e-store will offer a free promotional gift for fans.

“This great selection of official art really works to showcase some of the fantastic near-misses and quick demises encountered when playing this extraordinarily addictive app,” says Marc Cowlin, director of marketing, CafePress.com. “We think players are really going to respond to the selection of custom designs and gear as it shows off the coolest features and scenes of the game.”
