"The continued record-breaking success of this film is a true testament to all involved and the global power of this 50-year-old franchise," says Gary Barber, chairman and chief executive officer, MGM, which produced the film along with Eon Productions and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Licensing for the property is in full swing with a 007 fragrance from Proctor & Gamble, a dedicated James Bond pop-up channel on BSkyB in the U.K. that aired 007 films for one month and a limited edition watch from Omega.
