New companies exhibiting at this year's show include Skechers, King Features, Hidden City Games, Sega, Lucasfilm and Paramount. Meanwhile, CPLG and Hasbro are back as exhibitors. Many agencies and licensors from mainland Europe are expected. They include Plus Licens, Atlantyca, Rainbow, Giochi Preziosi, BRB and IMPS. The art and design section is nearly sold out, as well as the screening suite. Licensing Academy new initiatives for 2010 include a retail mentoring program, with Sainsbury's and Mothercare among the first to join, and a challenge for new licensing concepts, called "License It!"—an opportunity for new properties to pitch their creative appeal and licensing potential to a panel of experts for advice, critique and a winner.
