Brand Licensing Europe 2010 is growing still. The show floor is now 53 percent ahead of the same time last year with 45 more exhibitors booked. Fifty-two of the 153 exhibitors booked to date have headquarters in mainland Europe—an increase of 50 percent on 2009.

Latest signings include Caroline Mickler, The Compost Heap, Coolabi, Dooodolls Design, FremantleMedia Enterprises, Halliwells LLP, HarperCollins, Hidden City Entertainment (Bella Sara), Ignition Licensing, Intellectual Property Office, Iona Design, Loretta the Cat, Lucasfilm, Mediatoon Licensing, Metrostar, Museum of London, Plus Licens & Design AB, Sega Corporation, Softies & Cuties, Space Enterprises, The Bright Group International and Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

Other top names to have signed up for the first time this year include Skechers, Lucasfilm, Hasbro, Paramount Licensing, Biplano SA, Backstage Srl and Iconix Europe.

BLE has appointed Braben to manage its European PR brief for the 2010 show. The aim for this year is to reach even more European, national and vertical trade press to ensure the power of the licensing industry is communicated to the wider business community. The event will specifically focus on those sectors that benefit from the power of licensed brands—retail, sport, gifting and TV.
