BKN International is launching a major new animation project, "Joshua Blake: The Agency," which it will show at Mipcom Junior in October.

The $13 million project, which already has some $5 million secured from a deal with a yet-to-be-named Canadian business, will feature the newly created spy character, Joshua Blake, who battles and saves the world from forces that would use technology to destroy rather than enhance life. BKN plans to deliver 40 episodes by spring 2011.

"The quality of this project, along with top-quality scripts and animation style design, FX and 3-D elements should result in a superb, state-of-the-art, animation series," says Laura Tapias, managing director of BKN in Spain. "We know our customers worldwide will love it."

"There are numerous important broadcasters and home entertainment distributors that have been shown this project and expressed strong interest," says Nicola Andrews, managing director of BKN in London. "We truly believe that such a major project for boys and girls 6 to 12, to be released in spring 2011, is exactly filling a huge void in the market currently."
