BabyTV, a 24-hour commercial-free channel for infants, toddlers and their parents, has appointed Bright Group International to launch a baby publishing series based on the channel's programming.

All BabyTV programming is created in-house under the guidance of childhood experts and the focus is on developing series that promote learning, activity and interaction in a fun environment. Parents and children can also access additional content, including games, activities and an online learning center, through the channel's website at Babytv.com. Founded in 2003, the channel reaches parents and children through major television platforms worldwide; in the U.K. it is available through Sky, BT Vision and Virgin TV.

"We have been heavily investing in our programming library over the past few years, with more than 70 shows now available," says Maya Talit of BabyTV. "Our series have received a very warm welcome from parents and children alike and we look forward to translating the success of our characters

and stories into books together with the BGI team."


BGI already represents other companies looking to move their brands into publishing, including Hallmark and London Zoo.
