BBC Worldwide has renewed its the Teletubbies master toy license with Tomy across Europe.

Tomy, which has held the U.K. master toy license since 2001 and for France since 1998, has committed to develop innovative new products for the next three years.

"The Teletubbies have a unique and enduring appeal for preschool children, but with a constantly renewing audience base it's paramount that we retain a creative edge," says Anna Hewitt, head of licensing, BBC Worldwide. "Tomy is the ideal partner to ensure we continue to deliver on innovation for this age group, and we're delighted to be continuing our long-standing relationship with them."

"Our range is extremely popular with parents and children who love the soft and cuddly Teletubbies toys with realistic and engaging play features," says Joanne Gray, European head of business, Tomy. "Tomy has exciting plans for the brand, developing more new and innovative toys which will expand the range across categories."
