BBC Worldwide Consumer Products has signed a deal with Avon to produce the first range of fragrances based on Dancing with the Stars, the global brand of BBC One’s “Strictly Come Dancing” series.

BBC Worldwide and Avon will launch two unique Strictly Come Dancing fragrances in the U.K. inspired by the Latin and ballroom themes. The perfumes, Latin Sensation and Ballroom Beautiful, will be launched this winter in time for Christmas. They will be available to buy exclusively from Independent Avon sales representatives or online.

“‘Strictly Come Dancing’ is a fantastic show with millions of loyal viewers; we developed the fragrances as a treat for all those fans,” says Jason King, European fragrance and color cosmetics director, Avon. “The scents evoke the thrill of being swept away on the dance floor, whilst the precious bottles were inspired by the iconic glitter ball and dazzling jewels that are synonymous with the show.”

The new partnership will reach several other markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where the range will be marketed under the local broadcast title, with Avon launching fragrances and a variety of branded cosmetics including shimmering face pearls, lip gloss, eye shadow and mascara, all under the Dancing with the Stars brand.
