Nelostuote Oy Tactic and Rovio Entertainment have teamed up for an Angry Birds outdoor action game in Europe. Based on the original Angry Birds app, the product is developed mainly for outdoor use and will debut at the Nuremberg Toy and Game Fair at the beginning of February.
"We manufacture and market outdoor and board games to over 40 countries, and we are a strong operator in Europe," says Markku Heljakka, the chief executive officer of Tactic. "We have what it takes to make sure Angry Birds Outdoor Action game will really take off commercially.”
"Tactic is known for its internationally popular outdoor and board games," says Peter Vesterbacka, chief marketing officer of Rovio Entertainment. "A collaboration with another strong Scandinavian company is great as it is, but we were especially convinced by how well Tactic has done at internationalizing Mölkky (a Finnish wooden outdoor game), as well as other outdoor games.”
