Activision Publishing has announced two new mobile titles for its Skylanders franchise and a new starter pack that lets Skylanders figures interact with iOS games.

“Skylanders Battlegrounds” brings the brand’s blend of physical and virtual play to mobile devices for the first time. A “Skylanders Battlegrounds” starter pack includes a special wireless Bluetooth Portal of Power that brings figures to life on iOS devices, three character play pieces–Jet Vac, Series 2 Cynder and Double Trouble– and a Platinum Treasure Chest stocked with digital items for use in the game.

The starter pack is available at retail now and includes a redemption code to download the game from the Apple App Store. A standalone version of the app is also available from the Apple App Store.

The Bluetooth Portal of Power included in the “Skylanders Battlegrounds” starter pack will also work other Skylanders apps, letting players use their favorite figures from the console games “Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure” and “Skylanders

Giants” with their iOS devices.

A new standalone app, “Skylanders Lost Islands,” is also available now for download exclusively on the Apple App Store.
