Effort Co., a Japan-based marketing agency, has selected 4Sight Licensing Solutions to represent artist Katsushika Hokusai's worldwide merchandising and licensing program outside of Asia.

As agent and brand manager, 4Sight will initially launch its Hokusai program in 2011 at select retailers in North America, followed by a European roll out. Merchandise categories will include fashion apparel and accessories, home décor (textiles and home accessories), publishing, stationery and collectibles. Hokusai's original works, created in the 18th and 19th centuries, include silk paintings, classic woodblock prints, picture books, manga, travel illustrations, paintings and sketches.
