King Digital Goes Public

King Digital Entertainment, maker of the game app and licensed brand Candy Crush, launched its IPO Wednesday at a price that values the company at close to $7.6 billion, according to Bloomberg.

King is owned by Apax Partners and the venture capital firm Index Ventures.

The company, which filed on the New York Stock Exchange as KING, is selling its shares for $21 to $24 each and plans to use the funds for working capital and acquisitions.
