Cut the Rope Debuts in Iberia

Zeptolab’s Cut the Rope app brand has launched in Spain and Portugal through a back-to-school promotion at El Corte Ingles.

Zeptolab’s Cut the Rope app brand has launched in Spain and Portugal through a back-to-school promotion at the Iberian department store El Corte Ingles.

The promotional partnership was brokered on behalf of ITV Studios Global Entertainment by European sub-agent Enjoy Brand Licensing.

From Aug. 19 to Sept. 22, Cut the Rope is being featured in all 85 El Corte Ingles stores with in-store displays in the kids’ fashion, back-to-school and publishing departments. Additionally, Cut the Rope collectible Nommies and toys are exclusively on offer at 12 El Corte Ingles stores.

"The Enjoy promotion with El Corte Ingles is a fantastic way to launch Cut the Rope in Spain and Portugal. Our agent Enjoy has done a brilliant job bringing all these partners together, with the support of the ITVS GE and Zeptolab brand teams,” says Trudi Hayward, senior vice president, head of global merchandise, ITVS GE. “This is a model we are looking to use throughout our core European territories. In today’s retail market place it is critical to get support from key retailers in order to bring licensees on board and provide a broad launch platform for brands.”

A number of Iberian regional licensing partners have already joined worldwide brand partners Hasbro and Mattel, including Copywrite Europe for back-to-school, Van der Erve for apparel, Risi for sweet snacks, Dracco for candy, Alfaguara for publishing, Creaciones Euromoda for home textiles and Arazonia Multimedia for PC games.
