Viacom18 Consumer Products has brokered a deal for a new range of apparel in India from Jack & Jones and Peanuts.

Launched earlier this month, the line includes t-shirts featuring Peanuts characters such as Snoopy, Woodstock, Sally and Charlie Brown. Peanuts will celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2020. Viacom18 aims to leverage its license of the brand for a range of categories in India next year. The company has been the Peanuts master licensee in India since 2014.

“We are delighted to partner with Jack & Jones to launch a Peanuts collection in India,” says Sachin Puntambekar, business head of consumer products, Viacom18. “Jack & Jones caters to the youth who have grown up watching Snoopy and his friends. This fun collaboration will offer Peanuts fans a fresh take on their favorite characters. This partnership will help us maximize our reach and strengthen our current portfolio in India.”

Viacom18 is not the only company celebrating Peanuts’ upcoming anniversary. The brand has also been leveraged for partnerships with McDonald’s and Super7.
