American Greetings Properties has partnered with a group of French fashion designers to create couture outfits for Strawberry Shortcake dolls during Paris Fashion Week, in a deal brokered by CPLG, licensing agent for AGP in France.

Sonia Rykiel, Stella Cadente, Cacharel, Antik Batik, Fifi Chachnil and Nathalie Garcon will each style and design an outfit for Strawberry Shortcake, known as Charlotte aux Fraises in France. The dolls will be showcased at l’Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture (the School of the Union Chamber of Couture) during Paris Fashion Week, which begins today.

The dolls will then be auctioned off on Oct. 14 with the proceeds going to Ce Ke du Bonheur, a charity that focuses on improving the quality of life of hospitalized children in France.

“Ce Ke du Bonheur is a wonderful organization, and we’re thrilled to be able to contribute to its cause of helping children in need,” says Carla Silva, vice president of global licensing, AGP. “It is also exciting to bring Strawberry

Shortcake to Paris Fashion Week, where she’ll take her place among the most stylish women in the world.”
