Sotheby's, Stadium Goods Collab for Rare Sneaker Auction

Sotheby’s has announced that it has partnered with Stadium Goods to auction off 100 of the rarest sneakers in history.

The Stadium Goods’ Trophy Cases auction will include some of the most coveted sneakers in history including rare items from Nike, Air Jordan, Adidas and Yeezy. Sotheby’s auction will be an online-only event, with bidding starting today. It will be accompanied by public exhibitions of some of the auction items at Sotheby’s galleries in New York.

“We are thrilled to partner with Stadium Goods on this sale, who are equally dedicated to exceptionalism and authenticity in their field as we are at Sotheby’s,” says Noah Wunsch, global head, e-commerce, Sotheby’s. “From the Paris Nike SB Low Dunks featuring designs by Bernard Buffet to the Nike Moon Show originally handmade by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, the sale offers a range of rare, highly-coveted collectible sneakers bringing together art, culture and fashion.”

The auction follows the

acquisition

of Stadium Goods by luxury

fashion technology platform Fartech late last year.
