The MYPLASH/BOBS card will promote financial literacy as well as serve a charitable purpose–for each BOBS-branded card purchased Skechers donates a pair of shoes to a child in need. As part of the BOBS business plan, for each pair of shoes purchased, Skechers donates another pair to needy children. Since the program’s launch in 2011, more than 3 million pairs have been donated worldwide.
“At Skechers, we believe all companies should do what they can to give back and help those in need. BOBS from Skechers has transformed the simple act of buying a pair of shoes into an impactful charitable program that has helped millions of children around the world,” says Michael Greenberg, president, Skechers. “It’s exciting to see the BOBS message growing through new partnerships like the one with MYPLASH. We hope their customers see the impact BOBS has made around the worldand feel compelled to support the cause.”
“We are absolutely thrilled to have BOBS from Skechers onboard to support our mission of educating young people about financial responsibility,” says Brian Newberry, president and chief executive officer, MYPLASH. “We are also delighted to be contributing to the BOBS charitable program and helping the nearly 300 million children around the world that are in need of shoes.”
Skechers will also promote the MYPLASH partnership with 30 million bag stuffers, nearly 40 million shoebox inserts, retail displays in 250 Skechers stores and with co-branded TV spots.
