Ripple Junction has named Mark Wilson president of the company.
March 19, 2019
Wilson will assume responsibility for the day-to-day leadership, overall revenue and profitability performance of the company alongside cofounders Neil Hoynes (continuing as chief executive officer) and Scott Andersen (now senior vice president, strategic partnerships).
Wilson comes to Ripple Junction from Joseph Beth Booksellers, where he spent 12 years as president and chief executive officer. At Joseph Beth, Wilson successfully grew revenue and operating income in a declining retail book industry by expanding offerings into the healthcare retail market and by adding a fashion and accessory retail business and restaurant business in the stores. Before Joseph Beth, Wilson held executive positions during a 12-year tenure at General Electric, including North American vice president, marketing and product management. He also served as vice president, operations, sales and marketing at PC On Call, a local Cincinnati startup. Wilson has a degree in Business and Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada.
“In my position as chief executive officer, I will help Mark quickly learn our business, our culture, our customers and gain a deep understanding of the drivers of our success,” says Hoynes. “I am confident that Mark is the right person to lead our business to the next level of performance. Thanks to our new corporate-wide Run Improve Grow initiative with Definity Partners, we are well positioned for growth in the coming years and Mark will enable us to achieve our vision.”
“I am excited for the opportunity to join this fast-growing and successful company,” says Wilson. “Ripple Junction has an impressive history, a great brand and I am fortunate to join such an exceptional team,” says Wilson.
