With a focus on fashion, accessories and home décor, the brand is named after Witherspoon's grandparents, Dorothea Draper and William James Witherspoon.
The brand will launch with a line of women's apparel and accessories including dresses, separates, jewelry and handbags, as well as home offerings such as stationery, blankets, pillows and cocktail napkins. The label will work closely with Southern artisans and will produce proprietary items in Southern factories.

Draper James will launch direct-to-consumer online at DraperJames.com followed by the opening of its first brick-and-mortar store this fall in Witherspoon's
"I created Draper James to honor my past and allow others to embrace the beauty, style and excitement that embodies what is happening in the South today," says Witherspoon.
