The Def Jam x Puma Clyde Court shoes come out during the label’s 35th anniversary in the music recording industry. Set to debut next month, the burgundy sneaker comes with a rubber sole and sock-like collar for extra support.
“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with such an iconic brand,” says Allison Giorgio, vice president, marketing, Puma North America, via statement toFootwear News
. “Def Jam is a legendary label in hip-hop, and so much of what we do as a brand, particularly in basketball, is rooted in culture and music. Bringing together two brands with so much history and heritage just made a lot of sense.”
The sneaker is the first in a wave of collaborations between the two brands. Both companies will be working together to create experiences that intertwine music, style and sports over the next two years.
