Global apparel company Oxford Industries' board of directors has elected Thomas C. Chubb III as chairman.

Global apparel company Oxford Industries' board of directors has elected Thomas C. Chubb III as chairman.

Chubb will also continue in his role as the company's chief executive officer and president.

Chubb will replace J. Hicks Lanier, who announced earlier this year that he would be retiring from the board at the company's annual shareholders meeting, held Wednesday.

Oxford Industries brands include Tommy Bahama, Lilly Pulitzer and Billy London and the company is also a licensees for brands such as Kenneth Cole, Geoffrey Beene and Dockers.
